In our experience there are many lesbians who holiday in Tenerife and many lesbians who live in Tenerife, but if it's a rocking lesbian scene that you're looking for ...on the scale of Candy Bar in Soho or Brighton in the UK, it doesn't exist here yet. Having said that, the island is very laid back in its view on gays & lesbians and the scene is very welcoming with a few British owned gay bars and restaurants among the Spanish selection.

The fact is Tenerife, is losing its 'too embarassing to tell anyone I'm going' label and is becoming the choice of many women who like to be active or simply relax and do nothing on holiday.
